Today, head out for a full-day trip to Sonmarg (approx. 3 hours), one of the most scenic drives from Srinagar. Sonmarg sits at 2,690 meters and is famously known as the “Meadow of Gold”. You can enjoy a pony ride to the Thajiwas Glacier and take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. After sightseeing, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (approx. 3 hours), also known as the Valley of Shepherds and a popular Bollywood film shooting location. En route, pass the vibrant saffron fields of Pampore and visit the ancient Awantipora ruins, home to the 1100-year-old temple of Lord Vishnu, built by King Awantiverman.
Enjoy scenic views of the countryside and rice fields along the way. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, explore Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari (local sightseeing on a direct payment basis). Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.
