Depart for a half-day city tour of Cochin with visits to St. Francis' Church, the Dutch Palace (built by the Portuguese), Jew Town, the Jewish Synagogue (constructed in 1568), a spice market rich with aromatic spices, and the iconic Chinese fishing nets. In the afternoon, proceed to Munnar, renowned as a popular stop for holidays in Kerala, and check into your hotel.

Begin the morning with a half-day Munnar sightseeing tour. Discover the world’s highest tea estates stretching like a green carpet over magnificent hills, and visit Eravikulam National Park (closed in January and February), known as the home of the rare species of Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goat). Spend the night in Munnar.

Proceed to the Periyar Wildlife Reserve, set along a picturesque lakeside. This sanctuary, one of South India's premier wildlife spots, offers an opportunity to cruise the lake, go for a jungle safari at Periyar National Park, and spot tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, antelopes, sambhar, wild boar, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Depending on the season, observe cormorants, teals, and ducks (October–February) or darters (snake birds), night herons, egrets, and Siberian storks (February–July), along with species such as the golden-backed woodpecker, crow pheasant, white-breasted water hen, and tree pie.
