DETAILED ITINERARY

Arrive in Ahmedabad and begin your pilgrimage with a visit to Sabarmati Ashram, the historic residence of Mahatma Gandhi. Explore Hridaya Kunj, the preserved living quarters, and the museum galleries that document Gandhi’s philosophy of truth and non-violence. The peaceful riverside setting offers a reflective start to the journey.

Proceed to Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, a major Swaminarayan temple complex known for its carved sandstone architecture and cultural exhibitions. The complex includes landscaped gardens and thematic displays highlighting Indian spiritual traditions. Evening light and sound shows (subject to schedule) add to the experience. Return to Ahmedabad for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin the journey toward Dwarka, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage destinations and an important Krishna temple town on the western coast of India. The drive passes through the changing landscapes of Gujarat, from urban stretches to rural farmlands and coastal plains. Rest stops are scheduled en route for comfort.

Arrive in Dwarka by evening and check in at the hotel. If time permits, visit the temple area for orientation and explore the ghats along the Gomti River. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

Begin early with darshan at Dwarkadhish Temple (Jagat Mandir), the principal temple dedicated to Lord Krishna as the “King of Dwarka.” The five-story temple supported by intricately carved pillars remains one of Gujarat’s most revered spiritual landmarks.

Proceed along the coastal route to Somnath, home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
