Trekking in Garhwal of Uttarakhand is extremely versatile; it has tougher treks for professionals in the athletic activity and easier ones for the novice in any age group. Dayara Bugyal family trek is one of those trips that people of one blood can easily take without worrying about difference in energy level and stamina. Family trekking is a fun activity with sufficient amount of rest and stretch to keep moving until the destination comes.

Going to the high altitude meadow of Dayara and coming back to Delhi might take 8 days all in all. The train ride from Delhi to Rishikesh is followed by a drive to Barsu, a village near Uttarkashi. This lush green human settlement will be the trekking base for the adventure holidays on Dayara Bugyal trek.

Untimely rain and snow on the trek might occur but that only elevates the element of unexpected chance of knowing Nature as it is and thus the adventure aspect of the trek. Needless to say that the sceneries are typical mountain ones with a power to entrench in the minds of even the most regular of the trekkers as if new.

Before reaching final destination- Dayara meadow, trekkers would come across Bharnala Tal- a high altitude mountain lake. Dayara Bygyal trekking tour is accomplished after returning to Rishikesh via Barsu from Dayara.

Train : AC/Sleeper Train from Delhi to Haridwar & back.
Transportation : Car from Rishikesh - Barsu - Haridwar.
Accommodation : Hotel in Rishikesh & Uttarkashi on triple/quad sharing basis. Guest House/tent at Barsu. While on the trek accommodation will be provided in tents on double sharing and single basis. Our tents are 4 season dome tents (Red Fox) with lots of space for personal luggage. We will be putting up a dining tent and a toilet tent to make your camping comfortable.
Meals : Breakfast on day 01 till dinner on day 06 will serve. The meal will be mix of Indian, Chinese and continental.
Mules/Porters : For carrying camping equipment like tents, carry mat, camping stool, rations, vegetables and some amount of personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 15 kgs).

Itinerary

In the morning take AC Shatabdi/After noon Jan Shatabdi train from Delhi to Haridwar at 06:50/15:05 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:25/19:45 hrs. On arrival met our representative and drive towards Rishikesh & check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the nearby area by your own. Overnight stay at hotel.

In the morning after breakfast drive to Sangamchatti via Uttarkashi. The drive takes you through the picturesque Garhwal Mountains along with the holy Ganges. Overnight stay at guest house/tent.

Today we will start our trek to Barnala Bugyal. This is the first day of our trek. We start ascending a trail through pine forests to Barnala Bugyal. The peak, Draupadi ka Danda is seen all along the trail. Overnight stay in tent.

We trek on a well-laid out trail through the pine forests and get above the tree line onto the alpine meadows of Dayara Bugyal. This beautiful sloping meadow is an attraction for skiers during winter. Overnight stay in tent.

After breakfast trek down to Barsu village and from here drive to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.

Morning after drive down to Haridwar and from here transfer to Haridwar railway station to catch a train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs Trip & Services Ends Here.
