Home >> Safari in India >> Motor Bike Safari >> Manali - Leh Bike Safari
Manali is the last of the cities in the northern most part of Himachal Pradesh. The scenery changes from the green Kullu Valley to the brown rugged mountains at Rohtang Pass. From here we cross over to the Lahaul valley and cross the Zanskar Range to Leh. There are many high passes to be negotiated on our way to Leh. Leh is used as a base to explore the beautiful areas around the city and also the highest motorable pass, Khardung La (5570 m). We exit the city for Pangong Tso. A large lake on the border of India and Tibet. It's difficult to imagine a lake of that size at an altitude of 14,000 feet. From Pangong Tso we head south through the Rupshu Valley to another lake Tsomoriri. While heading back to the Leh Manali road we go past another lake Tsokar.
