Positioned in the fascinating region of Bageshwar in Uttarakhand, Mount Balijuri is a snow-covered mountain located in the close proximity to the Pindari Glacier. This peak is at a lofty elevation of 5922 meters. The climb to Balijuri does not require a sound knowledge technical climbing. A slight knowledge of climbing is enough to take a tour to this imposing peak. Weather plays a significant role to climb the peak as the area experiences long stretches of bad climate. The trail to Mount Balijuri incorporates breathtaking landscapes and serenity that rejuvenates the minds of the adventure enthusiasts.

This 18 nights and 19 days itinerary takes the travelers to the majestic peak of Mount Baljuri. The expedition includes exploring various exquisite regions such as Dhakuri, Phurkia and Pindari Glacier. The tour is certain bliss for all the adventurers with an inclination towards witnessing nature's grandeur.

Itinerary

In the evening take AC train from Delhi – Kathgodam at 22:40 hrs. Overnight journey….

Arrival at Kathgodam by morning, here meet our guide and drive to Bageshwar which will take 7-8 hrs. Upon arrival at Bageshwar check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the nearby area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Mornings after breakfast drive to Loharkhet and from here we will start our trek up to Dhakuri. It is an 8 km trek today that takes you down into the depths of the valley and then a fair climb to Dhakuri. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.

Today, we will be walking from Dhakuri to Dwali, whuch is again 6 to 7 hrs journey. We will be proceeding for a gradual walk through village Khati 2250m, which is famous for its reach to Sunderdunga Glacier also. Dwali is 2650m. Enjoy a night stay in camps/tents.

After breakfast in the morning, we will be walking from Dwali to Phurkia, which will take about 3 to 4 hrs. Phurkia is at a height of 3250 m.On the way, we will be walking through dense jungles of Gharwal & Kumaon Himalayas that offers an incredible experience of its own type. An overnight stay in Phurkia.

The day is fixed to walk from Phurkia to Pindari Glacier to further to BC. The first journey from Phurkia to Pindari Glacier will take around 3 to 4 hours while reaching BC from Pindari Glacier will take another 2 hours. The entire trekking will offer a unique experience especially to be in the company of such a massive natural body like terminal morains, erosions and huge glacial body of Pindari, which is source of Pinder River.

The day is free for relax.

In the morning after breakfast, we will load ferry. Further, we will be working along with porters to push load further up on ridge. We will be preceding the opening of Camp1. Enjoy an overnight stay in the camps.

Today, we will be carrying our own sacks to occupy Camp I. An overnight stay in the camps.

Today, we will load ferry with porters and proceed towards Camp 2 site. Here, we will open Camp2 and enjoy an overnight stay.

The day is free to spend quality time admiring the real nature beauty at the Camp 2.

The next two days of the trip are fixed for attempting to reach the Summit.

Today, we will return back to the Base Camp from the Summit and enjoy a night stay at the Base Camp.

In the morning after breakfast, we will proceed to return back to Dwali. Enjoy an overnight stay at in Dwali.

Today's 19 kms trek will take 6-7 hrs. Exploring Khati is a good idea as it has some beautiful sights to offer. Dinner and overnight stay in tents/rest house.

Trek all the way to song today 13 km, 5-6 hrs and drive back to Bageshwar. Overnight at Rest house. The trek has come to an end. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

In the morning after breakfast drive to Kathgodam via Almora. On arrival transfer to railway station and board train for Delhi at 20:30 hrs. Overnight journey

Transfer to International/Domestic Airport Delhi to catch flight for onward destination according to your flight schedule. End of the tour and services.
