The Singalila Trek is the most admired trek in Sikkim to bring the trekkers at the foot of Mt. Kanchenjunga. The Singalila Trek in Sikkim covers the political boundary of Nepal and Sikkim and brings the ancient Himalayan Kingdom of Tibetan culture. The trek that brings the breath-taking views of the Himalayan range in spite of the presence of some barren landscape; being devoid of any trees and boasts of rocky hills but still the charm and the placid atmosphere is the adequate reason to captivate tremendous trekkers all around the valleys. The folds and grassy meadow of Singalila adds delight to trekking at Singalila to bring a blissful environment. The presence of astounding lakes all around the Singalila region add a perfect charm to the ambience of trekking in Sikkim.

This century old trek is an easy narrow path all along the Indo-Nepali border at the edge of the jungle and the rhododendron forests. The Singalila range is one of the rare spots on earth where the view embraces five summits rising above 8000m, amongst them Everest, Makalu and Lhotse. The Singalila Trekking will also bring the fascinations of different Sikkim monasteries like Pemayangtse, Tashiding, Rumtek to bring a touch of culture and make this journey a rare venture. 

Besides this, the trail will also take the trekkers towards Darjeeling Hills where vast stretches of tea plantations bring a relaxed ambience along Tibetan Buddhist monastery. The fascinating Singalila Trek rules amidst the grandeur of the mountain peaks, lush green valleys, cascading waterfalls, fast flowing rivers, beautiful monasteries and terraced hills; Sikkim trekking brings a rare and exotic experience.

ITINERARY

Day 1   Delhi - Bagdogra - Drjeeling.
In the morning catch a flight for Bagdogra airport. On arrival at Bagdogra airport meet our executive and then drive to Darjeeling via a beautiful Tea Garden. On arrival check in to hote for overnight stay.

Day 2  Darjeeling - Manay Bhanjang - Tonglu
Early morning visit the tiger hill for Sun rise on Mt. Kanchenjunga Peak. While coming back visit the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop. after breakfast drive from Darjeeling to trek point. The trail overlooks the Bengali plain south, and we have tantalising glimpses of Kanchenjunga ahead, as we zigzag through rhododendrons.

Day 3   Tonglu - Garibas
We take a mossy paved path, that snakesthrough a succession of forests and hamlets, giving way, from time to time, to spectacular mountain sceneries.

Day 4  Garibas - Sandakphu
We steadily climb to join the ridge trail towards Kalpokhari. Afterwards we start a long and steep climb onto the Singalila ridge that leads us to Sandakphu. A remarkable 360 ° view from the top.

Day 5   Sandakphu - Phalut
We walk to a prominent viewpoint for the magnificent sunrise over the Kanchenjunga, Jannu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyo. Throughout the day, there are ever-changing views: yak herds, silvery pine forests, tiny lakes ringed with grass, and the snow-capped Himalayan range in the background.

Day 6  Phalut - Raman
A pleasant descent through the woods takes us to Gorkhey (2500m) then we climb up towards Raman.

Day 7   Raman - Rimbik
We pass through numerous villages and cross the Sri Khola over a remarkable suspension bridge.

Day 8  Rimbik - Darjeeling
We have come to the end of our trek route and this morning we will drive to Darjeeling, a distance of about 60 km. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 9   Darjeeling - Bagdogra
In the morning after breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport to catch onward flight for further destination. Trip & Services Ends Here

Cost includes
• Accommodation: Hotel at Darjeeling with bed and breakfast basis. While on trek we will provide you tea house on twin sharing basis, Camping mattresses, camping stool, table etc would be provided.
• Transport: Tata Sumo/Mahindra Max from Bagdogra – Darjeeling, for trek point and back to Bagdogra Airport etc.
• Meals: In Darjeeling only breakfast will serve. While on trek, all meal. Meals will be freshly prepared and will be a mix of Indian, Chinese & Continental.
• Yaks/Porters: For carrying camping equipment, rations, vegetables and some amount of personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 15 kgs).
• Professional local trekking guide and kitchen staff would accompany the group for the trek.
• Entry and Inner Line Permit (ILP) fee for trekking etc
