Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Up on arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and then transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi – Rishikesh (225 Kms/ 6 – 7 hrs drive)
In the morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. On the way visit Haridwar covering Har-ki-Peri, to witness the famous Aarti of holy Ganges after that drive to Rishikesh. On arrival check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the area on your bike. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Rishikesh - Chamba (60 kms)
Today we will start our bikes trip up to Chamba. The beautiful hill station in the lap of Himalayan foot hills. The kitchen staff and luggage will go by separate loader jeep.
Day 04: Chamba - Dharasu (57 kms)
From Chamba the road begins to rise, winding its way along the Bhagirathi and passing through a fertile valley studded with patches of trees and clusters of small houses. Here the Khuromla meets the Bhagirathi and the roads to Uttarkashi and Gangotri trails its way along the banks of the Bhagirathi.
Day 05: Dharasu - Uttarkashi (28 kms)
In the morning after breakfast we will start our trip to Uttarkashi. Overnight at hotel.
Uttarkashi, On the banks of the Bhagirathi, surrounded by the rivers Varuna and Assi, this sacred fast developing town is the capital of the newly constituted western most district of the UTTARKHAND.
Day 06: Uttarkashi - Bhatwari (1218 m)
In the morning after breakfast we will ride our bikes up to Bhatwari. Its an important town, with a small market. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 07: Bhatwari - Harsil (2623 m)
After breakfast trip to Harsil. Overnight stay at camp.
Harsil: Harsil is a beautiful spot to see the colors of the nature. The walks, picnics and trek lead one to undiscovered stretches of green, grassy land. Harsil is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Sighting here includes the Wilson Cottage, built in 1864 and Sat Tal (seven Lakes). The adventurous tourists have the choice to set off on various treks that introduces them to beautiful meadows, waterfalls and valleys. Situated amidst the incredible beauty of mountain peaks, Harsil is counted amongst some of the most beautiful places in the Garhwal region.
Day 08: Harsil - Gangotri (3200 m)
Today we will ride our bikes up to Gangotri through the beautiful lush green valley and thick forest. Evening explore the surrounding. Overnight stay at guest house.
Gangotri
The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3200 m surrounded by deodars and pines. The original temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. Every year people from all around the world visit this shrine. A number of ashrams and dharamshalas are located on the other side of the river. It is believed that Raja Bhagirath used to worship Shiva on a slab of rock "Bhagirath Shila" situated near the temple. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks. A days trek takes one to Gaumukh, the source of the mighty Ganges.
Day 09: Gangotri - Bhojwassa (3792 mts / 12440 ft)
The walk begins with gradual ascent through pine trees, alongside the roaring Bhagirathi River with towering cliffs on your left hand side. Soon after you leave Gangotri, you pass a check post for the Gangotri Conservation Project. The money they collect from your guide trees and an awareness campaign for trekkers on eco-sensitive tourism. Today’s walk is quite short to help with acclimatisation. Chirbasa means pine trees. Here you have superb views of Manda peak (20,853ft/6511m), Hanuman Tibba (17,186ft/5366m), Bhrigu Parbat (19,217ft/6000m), Bhagirathi I, II and III (21,958ft/6856m, 20,857ft/6512m, and 20,671ft/6454m respectively). You could well spot herds of Bharal roaming the hillside above Chirbasa. Overnight camp.
Day 10: Bhojwassa - Gomukh (3890 mts) – Bhojwassa
It takes approximately 1-2 hours to reach Bhojwassa (12,145ft/3792m) which has an ashram, a tourist guest house and police post. Here the majestic soaring peak of Shivling (20,956ft/6543m) comes into view. The trek from Bhojwassa to Gomukh is a fairly gradual ascent. “Gau” means cow, and “Mukh” means mouth. At Gomukh, you can dip your hands and toes in the revered holy water of the Ganges, and you may well find your guide collecting holy water here on the decent for a Puja. Gangotri used to be the source, but the glacier has receded now to just beyond Gomukh. Overnight camp.
Day 11: Bhojwassa - Gangotri - Harsil
We will trek down to Gangotri for a couple of hours and from here drive down to Harsil. Evening at leisure. Overnight in tents
Day 12: Harsil - Haridwar - Early morning drive km to reach Haridwar. From here catch night train for Delhi. Overnight journey.
Day 13: Haridwar - Delhi
Arrival at Delhi by early morning then transfer to hotel for rest. In the late evening transfer to International airport.
